The game also really makes Xefros a character with depth (even though he is 2d), like how he simoutaneously finds it wrong to just go inside some troll's cave but at the same time doesn't give much of a ♥♥♥♥ about breaking in the bee house. The game has many long dialogues and textboxes, however they effectively tell the story and don't make them pointless with unfunny gags. The game manages to FLAWLESSLY time the expository dialogue (like when they explicitely say that you have to switch characters for some puzzles) and intertwines it with mysteries and some deep thinking in order to make a great experience for the player. There are 8 bit music, orchestras, trap (matuê) and many other music genres. There is a lot of homestuck's charm here, like not writing we're correctly (they usually forget the '), the songs resemble Andrew Hussie's godlik soundtrack in its quality, Toby Fox and James Roach really overacchieved themselves this time. When you are in the game's menu, there is a recap button, which shows a visually incredible recap of act 1, the devs and artists were amazing on this one. Most of the first game problems were fixed in this one, with the best addition to the game being autosave. Act 2 on the other hand, is an absolute MASTERPIECE of point-n-click games. Xefros was an absolute loser and the game was overral trash (i have made a review about act 1 already, check it out for a more eloquent review).Īct 1 was awful and a joke of game that was as unfunny as the god awful jokes it tried to land (which obviously failed incredibly). There was one (currently) impossible acchievement and the songs were (mostly) trash and ABSOLUTELY unfit for the occasions. Hiveswap act 1 was an absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke of a game, most hidden acchievements were ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that 2nd snake puzzle was also bs, the game lacked a LOT in the comedic field and you did not have any good or fulfilling reward for clicking on stuff. Before talking about act 2, im gonna make a resume of chpater 1's pros and cons.
